Quite right too.
There should be absolutely no sense of expectation of an op-up .... ever ! If it happens, it will happen, and it will be nothing to do with anything under your control, it is, afterall, an
operational upgrade, handed out for
operational reasons !
If you want to fly in a higher cabin, pay for it. Otherwise, expect to travel in the cabin you paid for, and plan and OLCI accordingly.... otherwise you might find yourself stuck at the back near the toilets !
