To get a true cost, you'd really have to consider a few more factors for most of us. For example:

- Was AC the cheapest carrier for the flight?
- Was a mileage run requried to get Elite?
- Was a higher fare class booked to guarantee an upgrade (eg. latitude)
- Was the flight even necessary?
