I currently have a round trip ticket on the "wanna get away fare". I have a situation where I might need to skip the flight out but keep my return flight home. I called customer care and they said this was allowed. I was agonizing over how to change my round trip ticket to a one-way because the low fares are all gone and I thought I would have to pay the fare difference for the return trip home.

Is this really true? She even said I would get a credit for the first leg.

I think most other airlines cancel the entire ticket if you might the first flight out.
