You're right, I wasn't clear in my post.

A lot of the trains I'd want to take are on that restricted list... in that case, what would be the best advice? Just buy a bunch of one way tickets way in advance and refund as needed? Any better strategy? Also, any good sales for these trips in terms of promo codes or discount programs?
