1 You have a business class ticket for at least part of your itinerary.
2. You have * Gold status with a * Alliance carrier.
Have you done this before? I have a business class reward trip booked and the first leg is economy as United does not offer buisness seats on this leg, just economy plus but the second leg is business. I had the same situation earlier this year and waited an hour in the economy line.
