Do you have status? For me the feeder flight ususally confirms withing a few seconds.
I believe you can issue the ticket only when all segments are confirmed. Otherwise it is just a reservation which expires (if the flight is not in the next several days) if i remember correctly within 7 days. At that time you loose your confirmed segment.
