Just got of the phone with M&M and Companion Award CC, but with no-luck

I'm trying to book a revenue ticket and companion award with the revenue ticket. The ticket would be booked in D (maybe C if really needed). Trying to find a least cost option to bring my wife with me for this trip, but would prefer that we both sit in the same cabin.

If I purchase the revenue ticket with M&M CC and use Companion Award, then the ticket is in Y and still have to pay ~700USD

The M&M SEN line says that I can't use the companion award with revenue ticket

Any pointers on how to get some reduced cost options (unfortunately meilenschaeppchen offer for January expires on the day we would start the trip and unfortunately can't move the trip to an earlier date)
