Am just wrapping up my latest of several stays in the past few months, and the towers lounge is still the best in the city imho. As a SPG platinum the upgrades here are generally good, though they have gotten tighter on the late-checkout than they used to be. Now they seem firm on the 4pm (even when they're wide open for the next day) though in the past I've had them easily give me as late as 9pm (huge help for the late flights). The service also strikes me as down a notch from what I recall in 2008-2010.
That being said, for SPG platinum benefits make this an easy choice, but a regular guest should probably look at the IC or the Dan to compare at this price point.
I agree. Service is way down from what it used to be and much stingier on the plat perks. Wasnt worth the money for me anymore. I was easily able to get $100 cheaper per night at places such as the Leonardo (tel aviv and ramat gan) crowne plaze and ramada. The premium is just not justified anymore.
