Richmond, VA area: One CVS has started asking for driver's licenses after someone came in and tried to use a (possibly) stolen credit card. Clerk apparently asked for ID and the guy said he forgot it. Came back next day and tried the same thing. So now they're asking for ID on all bean sales.

South Miami area: CVS limited my brother to two beans per day. Clerk called manager, who then took ID and actually copied down the info off of his driver's license to ensure a max of two per day and to prevent fraud.

Haven't tried using a OneVanilla prepaid with no name on it at these stores, but my guess is that they're going to balk at it.

My two cents: Let CVS treat beans like cold medicine. Two per day per person, and ID check required. Prevents hoarding, prevents fraud, and everyone can enjoy a little 5x now and then.
They have been doing this in all 3 stores by my house since the first day 2-3 months ago. Both the 1k limit and ID check, so it really isn't a change from normal procedure. The last time I was there the clerk let me buy 3 by splitting it into 2 purchases because the register was hardcoded to only accept 1k.
