Last night on my way home from work I went back to one of the CVSs and purchased $1000 of VR using my wife's card. The cash register spit out a small piece of paper saying that authorization was needed. The cashier had to call chase and I had to speak with a fraud specialist and confirm information so they knew it was me buying the cards. There was no issue in the end except that it took 15 minutes to complete the transaction.
I wonder what this means exactly and if it will have any impact on my account. Thankfully I am done purchasing VRs with my wife's freedom card until next month, but I still need to purchase at least $500 more using my freedom card. I guess I will give it a few days to let things cool down and then try it.
you have 3 months to take care of it, i would just wait til next billing cycle or just use another chase card if you have one imo.
