Thank you JCF! Can you imagine if the girl's family were to read this thread? I just read a Brazilian news website, and interestingly, most comments are about how you can get an embolism from seating for long periods, how uncomfortable air travel is nowadays, etc. Only one comment out of a hundred speculates about white powder.
After eight hours of flight, the girl felt sick. The crew and doc helped her, and she was alive when the decision to divert was made.
