Both. We originally reserved a suite using points. Although upgrades are supposed to be easy, we didn't want to chance it as we wanted the extra space (the extra shower was a bonus prize!). Then our plans changed and we tried to add nights, but they only had availability for regular rooms, so we added an extra reservation. When we checked in, he said he was upgrading us to a suite for the standard reservation. When we explained, he also made sure we didn't have to switch rooms for the duration.

Our friend had a 1 King on another floor and said her room looked pretty much likes ours minus the sitting room.
