I doubt the AMEX offer will be back at .01 anytime soon. Best bet would likely be a retail GC from somebody who you would be spending with anyway.

If the issue with tickets is that you have limited travel options, you could consider buying tickets for friends/family. Fairly easy to get better value than .01, particulary out of a hub.
