Spent new years at Gili T - and stopped for one night at the Sheraton Senggigi on the way back as we are flying from Lombok to KUL.
Pros
- Very Cheap - It was 1200p + 30$ with C&P for one night
- Platinum Breakfast buffet was very big and fantastic
- Rooms were dated, but had hardwood floors - which is a nice change from some of the old carpeted sheratons
- Good Television
Cons
- Area/Beach are pretty deserted and dirty
- Internet in room did not work at all despite several calls
Would not want to stay here for a vacation, but it was great for a quick stopover. Taxis are pretty cheap, running about 10$/hour - about 14$ from the Sheraton to Lombok Airport
The biggest report however is the new?
Sheraton Lounge at the New Lombok
Airport. - This was really surprising!
- Located upstairs after check in - available to both international and domestic travel
- 50,000rp for Hotel Guests 85,000rp for non hotel guests [5.00$/8.5$]
- Decent internet connection
- Small breakfast buffet
- Great Coffee Service
- Private room to watch DVD's in, and another to smoke in
- Alcohol available at extra charge
- Furniture and furnishings look right out of an older 4 Points or other Sheraton
Very happy we went to this lounge and not the Air Asia lounge [around 50$ for the red carpet pass]. It was disappointing however that the lounge
did not honor Platinum membership, in fact she threw my Plat Membership card into a business card bin and I had to ask her to retreive it! Luckily it was only 5$pp and very comfortable.
Now if only they will open a W lounge at Seatac
