When the courtesy bus arrived, the friendly driver gave us times to reserve the bus for the morning, which was very useful. It is worth noting that the return journeys should be booked and incur a €2 per person charge from 1st January 2013.

As of 1 jan, the Hilton at Dublin Airport is imposing a two euro charge for use of their own shuttle bus for travel to Dublin airport.
Others may be able to advise is this is a first for own brand shuttle bus charges but seems very petty to me.
I communicated my major dissatisfaction to them!
What next, rental car companies doing the same?

Could this be happening? Looked at the Hilton Dublin Airport own webpage and it still stated that the shuttle bus / airport - hotel / hotel - airport / is complimentary.

Is it right to charge guests for the transportation in their own shuttle bus, especially while the hotel isn't located directly at the airport, it's around 7 minutes drive away.
