I'll be visiting Ecuador at the end of January, flying into Guayaquil and then flying out of Quito 8 nights later. That's the only part of the itinerary that's set in stone.

My plan is to spend 2-3 nights in Guayaquil, then bus or taxi to Cuenca, then fly to Quito.

Here's my question:

Would you recommend:

A. 3 nights Guayaquil, 2 nights Cuenca, 3 nights Quito

OR

B. 2 nights Guayaquil, 3 nights Cuenca, 3 nights Quito

OR

C. Something else?

I will be traveling solo and am mostly just interested in seeing old buildings and churches and museums. Oh, and bars.
