They still verify travel documents even if no visa is required. The reason is there are still several issues which could arise, and CZ would be left on the hook for the pax. A passport that does not have enough extra validity time, or enough extra pages. A pax from some country not allowed. Etc.

In practice I doubt they check very seriously, but you still have to stop at the checkin desk. Just 'da rules.
