Guys, in recent years I have always convert my Aventura points to Aeroplan when the bonus special is on.

According to their promotion:

Convert x points get Aeroplan:
5k get 1k
10k get 2k
20k get 4k
50k get 10k
100k get 25k
150k get 40k

So, I actually transferred 40,000 points and was shocked I only received 4,000 points.

I called and asked why, they told me Aeroplan only take consideration to tier level, meaning if you 5,000 to 9,999, you get 1,000 bonus and 10,000 to 19,999, you get 2,000 bonus and 20,000 to 49,999 you get 4,000.

Since I transferred 40,000, it is still considered tier 3 (20,000 to 49,999), so I basically transferred 20,000 points for nothing. If they could have being clear, I would have waited until May to transfer 20,000 to my account and get 4,000 bonus points.

What a scam, can they be little more clear on this. Why not just stated the range (e.g. 5K to 10K = 1 K bonus, 10K to 20K = 2K bonus, etc).

In the past, I have no problem with getting credits with each 10K I deposit. I have really learn my lesson... thanks for screwing me over Aeroplan!
