What about the 100$ guest compensation mentioned in the Marriott Rewards T&Cs? Am I eligible for compensation or should I asked for some extra points in the morning?
The guest compensation applies to bed type in room (ie, guaranteed king or 2 doubles), not type of room. If they've given you a bed type that doesn't conform to what you have on file/booked, then you'd have a $100 compensation claim. But you don't if it's just the room type.

Since the website is currently showing city view rooms for sale, I'd go to the front desk & ask why they're still selling them if they're not available & that if there is one still available, that you're willing to move to it.

* I'm on the website right now & it's showing "limited view" rooms available for 99E; "city views" for 109E. So there's only a 10E difference. BTW - the upcharge (if someone was paying) for exec level is an additional 70E. However, your status gets you access to the lounge even if you're not on exec level.

Presumably the lounge is closed due to the holiday, as some properties do close their lounges during holidays due to low occupancy. The exec lounge sticky shows this:

Frankfurt / Marriott / CLOSED; Coupons for full buffet in ground floor restaurant; i-net terminals; 07/08/12 update

So I'd certainly ask for the breakfast coupons. Marriott's T&C says continental brekkie 7days/week outside US/Canada.

Cheers.
