Just back from SH, having stayed in the Pen and having "explored" the PH, I can't imagine why anybody (particularly going for leisure) would ever choose the PH. I didn't find the PH to be any more impressive in terms of room quality/overall feel (I think the Pen was one of my favorite city hotels...ever, and the PH certainly didn't blow me away), and, moreover, the locations aren't remotely comparable.
