It's been a while since I passed through KIX, but as I recall, all kinds of food are available, and the Japanese food is "authentic" in the sense that it's made by Japanese people for a mostly Japanese crowd. You won't get gourmet food in the airport, most likely, but it's not modified for Western tastes.
