While it proved to be an annoyance, don't put too much emphasis on this. We are 6000+ crew members, and we all have different individual style's of communication and conveying information. I don't think anybody was trying to divest themselves (or AC) of responsibility. We're all in these scenarios together, and the goal is common. To get you home as safely and expeditiously as possible amidst the inconvenience of an operational delay.
