The vestibules are on the lower level and you can expect them to open at every stop ---
Also to walk through the train to the dinner, lounge, or cafe you'll have to go up to the upper level .... and if you're interested in looking out the window at some of the greatest scenery in the US, the view on the upper level is much better.
