Ouch.
Well, FWIW I have done JFK-LCY twice and JFK-LHR in Club more times than I care to remember.
These are short overnight flights, so getting as much sleep as possible is key.
For me that means
- booking a flight past 9pm. I find this means I can sleep much better and I am more productive the next day despite being 'late' into the office
- eat in the lounge beforehand, straight to bed after take off, maybe after a quick glass of wine
- A318 cruises at .8-.82 Mach, 777s and 747s up to .84 so you get a marginally longer crossing on the small plane
- however, no arrivals lounge at LCY so no breakfast and no shower
It's a close call between the 318 and upper deck 747 tbh. Avoid 777s...there are so many jumbos on 'The Money Run' there's really no excuse!
