Dining at the resort is expensive, as I mentioned before.
Wifey and I had a couple of dinners outside. If you have a car (which I recommend), you can e.g. go up the coast a bit to Riviere Noir (~25 mins away) and dine at "Zucca" (an Italianized place, pizza/pasta main courses around MUR 300/EUR 8). The location is within a shopping plaza, you can sit inside or outside. Many families there and vacation home owners, as I overheard from neighboring tables. Quality of food is good (try the specialty pizzas).
One night we went to Flic-en-Flac (~40 mins away) to "Domaine Anna" (just before you enter town on the right hand side). It offers outide seating with a fish-heavy menu, at MUR 500/EUR 12 for the main course. Also, for the price of a St.-Regis-glass-of-wine you get a full bottle of similar quality here. At first we thought it was a tourist trap, but the evening when we were there it was frequented mostly by Mauritian locals.
