With that said, I never look at the confirmation emails after a booking. I make about 50 bookings between Hilton and Marriott per year and manage my stays on their websites. There's absolutely no reason to go read a confirmation email when you can see everything (else) about the stay on the website. IMO that's an IT fail that they can't show that data right on the reservation.
I keep my reservation confirmations in a folder in my inbox. When/if I have questions it's pretty easy to find. I also keep a spreadsheet due to the traveling between hotels for work weekly. Yes, online would be great to answer all questions, but IT issues occur, no internet services available (even on hotspots) at times, so the spreadsheet on my desktop comes in pretty handy.
I am sure you read your emails, so if you ignore this one, I would say that's on you. sorry to have to disagree.
I think we may all have different suggestions of what info. we can and cannot see online, but there's simply no way to make everyone happy.
