I actually used to have a Citi bank account in the days when their overseas ATMs had no withdrawal chrages. That was worth it just for that alone, even if it was only available in a few countries. But then they made their ATM fees overseas as high as my regular bank, and so I dropped it. Then I considered it again with the 20k bonus, but before I acted, I heard about the 1099 stink, and that's driven me to ignore Citi banking offers for a long time to come.

Anyway, when you have a CIti bank account, do Citi cards you apply for show up in there automatically? If I have a Citi AA account, new Citi AA cards dont' show up automatically, I have to add them one by one (and it's a many step process to add each card, because Citi also can't remember the payment info from one card to the next).

While at US Bank (as well as Chase), the cards are added automatically to your single login.

So I veiw that as another way that US Bank is superior to Citi.

Now, you may value the things that Citi does better more than the things that US Bank does better, and that's fine. But objectively speaking, I see only some things that Citi does better, while I see some other things that US Bank does better. (Chase does almost all of them better than either Citi or US Bank. )
