I love the cookies, more than the sundae, but I hate the raisin/cranberry ones... But the choc chip or Mac nuts one are yummy. I would prefer a NY cheesecake or mousse over the sundae.

The cookie idea is very dated. I had my first airline cookies on Midwest Airlines. But I can't think of anything better to replace it. The ice cream sundae production is better suited for long-hauls whereas cookies generally appear on short and mid flights. Although IAH-PDX should have the sundaes on a dinner flight.
A nice sized warm brownie with powered sugar sprinkled on the top is an acceptable alternative
