$600 minimum for next day travel. Also, if you're interested and leave 1 day later, DL would likely allow you to extend your return by one day so you have the same # of days for your trip.

In addition to being a DYKWIA, I am also a registered companion of a DL Flight attendant. So I log in to see flight loads, project if I'll get a bump, etc.

In the end, I didn't get a VDB. They had 30 seats open in Biz so they moved 30 people up and there was 5 or so mis-connects. So, in the end, there was no VDB's given. My son and I (8 yrs old) both got up'd to Biz class on the 777 plane, my first time ever getting that type of seat. WOW!!!
