Would be flying next December tor Australia so a good year away. May end up in Hong Kong and/or Vancouver around May as a separate trip.

Agree. I'm not a breakfast person, so eggs don't appeal to me on am flight. Food wise and alert wise (being wide awake), the 2pm departure is optimal. I've done all 3 nonstops, midday departure is my fave.
I eat pretty much anything on a plane except for scallops and salad. For some reason if it goes in front of me, even if it's something like brocolli that I would never normally touch, I'll eat it.
Only things I've ever left were a "lasagne" on British Airways in Y (some cheap tinned spaghetti with some topping and I could manage more than a couple of mouthfulls) and some cold couscous that ss overflavoured for me (and the salad it ws mixed with).
Love omelettes and never had a bad breakfast yet even with powered scrambled eggs or however they are usually made - probably used to plainer foods?
