I was thinking more of The Legian, which is a proper beach resort, but boutique-sized.

I agree that much of Bali is popular with the Asian market, but Uluwatu, unlike, say The Legian, or Bvlgari (not to be recommended) or the Amans, is almost entirely Korean & Chinese honeymooners, which tends to make staff rather complacent as demands made by guests are not exactly challenging. More demanding guests make for better service.
