Just FYI-

social terp is correct - TWA Elite no longer have unlimited upgrades. Y,B,or Q fares yes if space available, K,V,T,H, and S(the really low fares) you can purchase upgrade 24hr before if avialable. Elite status is now 25kmiles for 2000. It is still a pretty good deal. I stopped flying TWA due to lack of flights out DCA/IAD and the xclltn of three TWA destinations in Europe but in 99 I was upgraded 90%.
