Since the bankruptcy AA has performed well in the areas that management can control with at best a grudging cooperation from the unions.

Parker's vision is Parker. The only thing he's interested in is what's best for him. The AA unions' vision is getting rid of Horton and the current management team. That's the only thing they're interested in, and they don't give a damn about anything else. Anyone who thinks everything will get magically better if only the Evil Horton and the Evil Board of Directors go away, please send me some of what you're drinking.

My vision, on the other hand, is to have as little to do with a merged US-AA combination as possible. Living near DCA, I won't be able to avoid them completely, but if they merge with Dougie running things the instances of me flying them will be few and far between. If it means flying DL or trekking out to IAD and flying out of UA's archaeological ruins that they call the C/D concourses, so be it.
