That would involve them having a separate immigration, customs etc facility in that T3 as well...I think you're right it would've been a good idea that probably never occurred to them, but it would also involve Australian customs and immigration agreeing, supplying staff, equipment etc etc maybe it would have just turned into more of a headache? Plus throwing EK into the mix they'd have to put an A380 capable gate too - along with lounges!

I agree it'll take far longer than it needs to and will probably need another expansion as soon as it's finished but it's probably not entirely QFs failings here
