I've had problems recently with SFO and upgrades so I stopped using them for the moment and instead am trying out National. Either they say they are out of vehicles or upgrade to huge SUV's or the Corvette which isn't practical for certain rentals. I usually wind up in an old Camry which they say is an upgrade from "F" to "F6" or another F vehicle. They say the G-class vehicles are sold out or in maintenance.

On a side note, Northern California has been slow in getting the shipments of new cars for 2013 resulting in shortages as the old cars were already disposed of. SMF didn't even use the Gold Board. They assigned cars as people walked up by simply looking out the door and seeing what was parked. At most there were 3-4 cars parked at a time. Made for quite the interesting time and a lot of unfulfilled Gold Reservations. On a G reservation I received a 2011! Camry with 40k+ after first being offered a 2011 Mazda 3 (C).
