So this has surfaced on the QF website. While the lounge upgrade has been discussed what is new is QF expanding to take over T3 at PER. Having commuted my way through the last 2 PER terminal upgrades I am pleased that I think I can sit this upgrade experience out with PER no longer being on my list of frequent or occasional travel destinations.

However it seems that given the redevelopment that it is a shame that QF won't go one step further and put some international gates into the redevelopment. Doing so would turn PER into a nice little hub for QF, JQ, EK & CX all operating out of a single terminal. However that would require a little more spend on QF's behalf and sadly isn't happening.

Instead what we will end up with is a minimum functional terminal that will continue to look and feel like a construction zone for a number of years yet.
