jimbo99, when I bought a pre-paid sim in July of this year, Chunghwa Telecom asked if I wanted 3G. So I suspect the SIM is the same, but they do some enabling of it server-side. I didn't have a data capable phone at the time but enabled 3G anyway, just don't know if it works. Going to TPE again next week with a smartphone, hope data works
