There are those that need to have the Lufthansa button on an Rimowa amenity case, rather than a Thai Airways button.
Same case, same manufacturer, same materials, same colour. Only the logo button is changed.
Perhaps they feel that ownership might lead to a First Class upgrade, but I doubt it.
I have flown ANA a few times, and am much bewildered as to the reason for the high price differential between the the two cases. Having graduated from Waseda University and lived in Japan, I can attest to the Japanese having a high regard and demand for quality products. Hence the choice for Rimowa products being selected.
However, that case is not manufactured in Japan, so the explanation, which I believe is profit, lies with the seller.
