No, they are not oneworld, however if it is on one ticket - typically issued by a travel agent, cruise or tour company - then it should still be checked through. If it is 2 tickets, one BA, the other Gulf, then it definitely won't be through checked. In either scenario you may have trouble with the gate agent (in EDI?) so I wouldn't count on it being through checked. But holding baggage overnight is commonplace at LHR.
Yeah its on the one ticket. If they do check in and hold overnight then they won't have a issue with tagging one just till LHR will they? Which I can check in the following morning.
