I've stayed there 3-times.....once as a gld and 2-times as a plat - total U/Gs - NEVER (and the Russians/Ukranians have literally taken the place over!)....vrs.
have had 5-stays at Ren Phuket, all as a plat - U/G in advance to a private pool villa each and every time...............first time to an oceanfront 3BD, and the last time to an oceanfront 1-BD (actually preferred due to additional privacy) and other times interior private pool villas............
have had 2-stays at JWKL, once as a gold (U/G to a river pool unit) and another as a plat (U/G to a duplex).......
so, why is the JW Phuket your favorite????????????
Ahhh OK fair enough. I think the pools are wonderful. Best pools I have found in any Marriotts in the world. The staff is wonderful. I love the property set up with the beach, "buffer area" with trees (just beautiful), then property. Restaurants are great. (Although we do enjoy going off property too.) Great place to relax for 7-10 days after a time in Bangkok.
We have been upgraded on each visit-unless we were in our Beach Club week. Have always been treated very well there. Great breakfast buffet included for Plats and Golds.
