This is a Ritz-Carlton Reserve property, which is something entirely different from Ritz-Carlton's typical North American resort properties. It is too early to tell how this brand will work in new locations, but Phulay Bay in Krabi, Thailand does in fact compete directly with high-end resorts such as Amanpuri, Trisara, Rayavadee and others, at least at the level of one-bedroom suites/pavilions/villas. Phulay Bay does not have any larger signature or residence villas.
