Mrs. Fredd and I undergo our invasive searches publicly, usually a few feet apart from each other. FWIW while neither of us would presume to speak for
all males or females, her innate modesty definitely makes it more of an ordeal for her than it is for me.
That may be individual, generational, or cultural, but it's one of a number of factors reducing our flying.
