Not so much. I often find I have to turn off wi-fi and use ATT 4G on my iPad to get any sort of reasonable response on my web mail at most hotels (Marriott and Hilton) I stay at.
What I really hate (e.g. last stay at Fort Worth Homewood) is having to log on over and over again, like 10 times a night, even during continuous use.
