One other nice perk we received last year as Platinum was complimentary access to the spa (workout facility and spa pool). Wasn't nearly as crowded as the main pool and no kids allowed either (some may or may not like this). I did not ask about a discount on the resort fee which is there as well.

Off topic... looking at going to JW Marriott Desert Springs this year... does anyone know if Platinum members get complimentary access to the spa pool there and if Platinum members can get a discount on the resort fee.
