TK seems to have a lot of good fares lately, but this could be a great way to net 23,680 miles in one trip.

If you don't have a Chinese visa or don't want to visit Shanghai, there are similar fares to HKG with slightly worse CPM.

LAX-IST-PEK also available on TK for $1144ai. Note that YR for this fare is about $600 for those who care about such things - Base Fare is $225 each way.. Total miles going to PEK the long way (eastward) is around 22,490, which brings a cpm of 5.1. Books into TK class G.

Appears you can do an extended 1 or 2 day layover in IST - which would be a nice way to break up the trip. Agreed, however, that the HKG fare is especially good because no visa is required for HKG.
