You would think they would be that smart, but they're not. I was Silver in 2011 & 2012. I purchased a ticket on united.com on Nov 16 with travel on UA metal from Dec 7 - Dec 9 that qualified me for Gold. On Dec 17 I received a Silver kit in the mail. I'm waiting for the Gold kit, since I want *A lounge access when traveling internationally. Hopefully, they'll figure out they sent the wrong kit, but I have low expectations.
