Politely, I disagree about a lot of what you said, and not only that, some of it, specifically the FYI section, does not even make sense. For example, which current role are you referring to Bill Marriott moving into? Are you saying that Bill Marriott's current role is CEO, or something else?
I'd refer you to the history of the company which can be found on the company's webpage - in regards to you're question about Bill, no he is no longer CEO but he is not retired
