What is considered a 'Weekend Stay'?

HH has a current promotion which grants double stay credits for weekend stays. For stays in Europe, this is defined as Friday-Sunday arrivals.. But what about hotels in Asia or in North America? Would a Thursday arrival and a Saturday departure also count as a weekend and qualify for double stay credit?

Also, the promotion indicates that not all hotels may participate in the 'Any Weekend, Anywhere' program. How does one know which hotels participate, since I could not see this rate type displayed in the availability.

BTW, I called Hilton's US toll-free # to get this info and was connected to a woman in the Philippines. Apart from bad English, she had no clue of what I was talking about or this promotion per se. Why do these companies recruit such incompetent call centers?
