My more informative response is, that there really won't be any "fresh perspective", as you say.
You're gonna get the same people who say that DL policy is that you lose your right that UG when you board.
You're also gonna get the same people who say that it's a disgrace to treat HVCs this way, and NOT UG them ahead of employees.
It would be a breath of fresh air to have a fresh perspective, but I really doubt there is one, since the Company doesn't really seem to care enough to enforce anything about this, probably because the ambiguity allows the GAs to occasionally "Take care of 'their own'"
And guess what--both are correct!
