Other than a packet or two of cookies or crackers, I can't remember ever taking anything from RCC or UC.

I always take 2 cans of ginger ale from *A lounge when flying LH or LX since I don't expect those airlines to have these items available in-flight. With the TSA's war or water, I feel justified in doing this since I can't bring them past security.
